Today I was looking through the BBC news online website and I came across a very interesting news article that was on the home page. It read: 'Miracle babies' pastor to be extradited to Kenya
This story takes place in the UK. This article is about a man from Kenya. He's a pastor and claims that he can make infertile women have 'miracle babies'! I mean who would ever believe that right?! you would be shocked to learn after reading a few lines from the article that two women attending his church actually believed that they were going to have babies, so they go to Nairobi and come back with children that they later find out isn't even their's after having a DNA test! I have to say that is the most ridiculous thing anyone could ever do! travel all the way to Kenya to have your 'miracle babies' delivered in a 'backstreet' clinic!! those women must have lost their minds to do such a thing! I also sympathise with them because I understand the way they were thinking, because the man that told them they could have 'miracle babies' was the pastor of the church they usually attended, so it would be unlikely for them to not have some kind of trust with their pastor, he would be looked up to in a way and respected by them because he had quite a title (Pastor).
He was asked how the babies had different DNA to their alleged parents and he said that the 'miracle babies' that happen in our ministry are 'beyond human imagination'! that just sounds ridiculous! The article should have the title of "The Lunatic Pastor"! I mean he's absolutely crazy!
Both him and his wife are in prison in Kenya. They don't mention for how long or anything. I still think that he should have gotten a more though sentence than just a prison sentence, maybe something like prison sentence with community service?! Also, I really want to know what will happen to the abducted children and their alleged families. I would love to follow up on this story and see how it develops and how they would manage such a complicated situation for both the children and the alleged parents.
I think the court should issue some counselling to the alleged parents that have been affected by this whole ordeal to help the families involved. Even though the children they thought was their's wasn't, they would be affected and could be psychologically distressed because it is hard to give up a baby you believed was yours and later have the court tell you that these babies have been abducted and given to you by your Pastor.
